VISION:

The vision of Hope Beyond Abortion is to educate, equip, and empower churches everywhere for the mission of protecting preborn image bearers of God.  We will do this through street level engagement, working with lawmakers, and providing care for mothers and families who choose life and those who have had an abortion in the past.  

A special message to post-abortive mothers and fathers:

HBA is here to walk side by side with you. We will commit to helping you find comfort in knowing you are still loved. We want to help you know that there is forgiveness in Christ even in this. You remain an unbelievably glorious member of society and are still our family in Christ.

ABOUT HBA: 

As Bo Linam, the founder of Hope Beyond Abortion, began studying pre-suppositional apologetics in 2017, he began to come across many videos of Christians standing outside abortion clinics where they were having open and difficult conversations with unbelievers and sometimes even other  professing believers.  Many of the topics that were being discussed included the argument of when life begins and if a mother has the right to choose what is done with the baby inside her womb.  Bo found these videos to be very convicting which led him to a realization of asking himself whether or not he was willing to stand for truth and put these convictions and his faith into action to be a part of helping to protect the preborn.  He started to go to Planned Parenthood in early 2018 as often as his work schedule would allow.  

As Bo continued to feel the Holy Spirit leading him into full time ministry, in 2020, he became part of the staff at The Journey Church in Lebanon, TN.  The lead pastor and one of the elders of The Journey Church, Erik Reed, encouraged Bo to pursue his calling and passion that God had put onto his life.  They helped to train, disciple, and understand the functionality and purpose of a God honoring ministry.  In November 2020, Hope Beyond Abortion (HBA) officially was born! 

As Bo and his team began to engage more mothers and families on the streets in front of Planned Parenthood Nashville, they had the privilege of being used by God to see the first baby to be saved from death.  This was truly an incredible life changing moment for Bo because he was able to see God at work and a miracle being done right before his eyes.  By the grace of God, there have been many more babies that have lived because of the faithfulness of this ministry.  Hard conversations with diverse groups of people such as atheists, wiccans, black Hebrew Israelites, Satanists, and more, have led to beautiful gospel conversations where the hope of Christ was at the center.  

One year after being part of the staff at his home church, The Journey, Bo felt that it was time to step away as the Mercy Ministries Pastor and go into the fight to protect the preborn and to end abortion full time.  He absolutely loved being in a pastoral role and helping the church with different ministries, however they limited his ability to be able to focus on the fight to end abortion.  Taking the leap of faith to go into full time ministry with Hope Beyond Abortion outside the church made it possible for Bo to focus on engaging other churches to be a part of what God is already doing to end abortion such as working with political figures to pass anti-abortion legislation and helping to teach/disciple Christians that also feel the call to fight for the preborn image bearers of God.
